Bible Journaling- in the Neighborhood

We gathered for some
Bible Journaling yesterday.
 Open Studio Day.
I had done a page with the
lectionary reading for this past Sunday.
 Revelations 21.
Some chose to make the same page.
Materials were  all out in the "Findings" room
 to duplicate the same design.
That is simple to do.
Word into the Week.
One of the young attendees did a weaving page
that she had seen at an earlier gathering.
Some shared pages from the Inspire Bible.
This page is simply watercolor
over the preprinted verses.
 And colored pencils.
And a Golden  Sharpie Marker
for the tree on this page.
 A wonderful choice for time
in His Word for busy mommas
and caregivers.
At a previous gathering at
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church-
they learned a simple technique
taught by artist Erika Radke.
White crayon resist and watercolors.
Trees with white crayon resist and
watercolors.
So on this day we gathered
with a drop-in schedule from 1 pm to 9 pm.
Simple supper served about 6 pm.
Calm upstairs.
And wild in the basement.
As neighbors and friends and
new friends gathered.
With a 3 year old,
a 2 month old,
a 6 month old,
 and a 9 month old.

A bit of encouragement along the way,
and marking the journey.
His people learning the walk together.
